The ClearPoint Content Generator, is a Google Chrome extension used to generate ClearPoint shortcodes and widgets for your WordPress Community Dashboard.
The extension helps you reference ClearPoint data directly within WordPress pages using the ClearPoint WordPress Plugin.
📦 Prerequisites
ClearPoint will provide a ZIP file containing the Content Generator extension.
If you have not yet received it, click here to request the file from our team.
🧩 Install the Extension
Follow the steps below to manually install the extension in Chrome.
1. Prepare the Files
Unzip the file provided by ClearPoint.
Save the unzipped folder to your desktop.
The folder name is typically Chrome-Plugin-master.
2. Open the Chrome Extensions Page
Open Google Chrome.
In the address bar, go to:
chrome://extensions
In the top right of the page, enable Developer mode.
3. Load the Unpacked Extension
Click Load unpacked.
A file browser window will open.
Select the Chrome-Plugin-master folder.
Click Select.
The ClearPoint extension will now appear in your Extensions list.
4. Confirm the Installation
After loading the extension:
The ClearPoint chart icon will appear to the right of the Chrome address bar.
Click the icon to open the extension and begin generating shortcodes.
⚠️ Important Note About Chrome
The Content Generator is not available in the Chrome Web Store.
Because of this, Chrome will show a notification each time the browser is fully closed and reopened, asking whether you want to disable Developer Mode extensions.
To continue using the Content Generator:
Simply dismiss the message by clicking the X.
The extension will remain active.
