This article explains how to upload attachments to ClearPoint.

Attachments allow you to include supporting documents—such as PDFs, images, or Office files—directly on an element’s detail page, providing additional context to your strategy and helping stakeholders better understand your work.

Attachments can be added to any element type in ClearPoint, including Objectives, Measures, and Initiatives.


Adding an Attachment Card to a Detail Page Layout

Before users can upload files, the Attachments card must be added to the element’s layout.

1. Open the Element

  1. From the left-hand navigation, select Elements.

  2. Choose the element type (e.g., Objectives).

  3. Select the element you want to edit (e.g., Very Low Ticket Prices).

2. Add the Attachments Card

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. Select Edit Layout to open the layout customization drawer.

  1. In the right-hand drawer, locate Attachments under Standard Cards.

  2. Drag and drop the card to your desired location.

  3. Click Save.

💡 The Attachments card is now available on the element detail page.


Uploading an Attachment

Once the Attachments card is on the layout, you can upload files for any reporting period.

  1. Double-click the Attachments card.

  2. Click Upload File and choose a document from your computer.

    • Supported formats include PDFs, images, Word/Excel/PowerPoint files, and more.

    • Maximum file size: 10 MB per file.

  3. Click the green checkmark to save the uploaded attachment.

💡 Your file now appears in the Attachments card for the selected reporting period.


Deleting or Downloading Attachments

You can manage all attachments directly from the Attachments card:

  • Delete – Remove the attachment permanently

  • Download – Save a local copy of the file

  • Edit – Update the attachment settings

Actions depend on your permissions.


Viewing All Attachments in the Documents Section

All attachments in your account (permissions allowing) are also accessible from the Documents area.

  1. From the left-hand navigation, click Documents.

  2. Select Attachments under Files.

  3. From here, you can Download or Delete attachments.

This provides a centralized list of all files uploaded across your ClearPoint account.
