Briefing Books can be personalized with a custom cover page, optional watermark, zoom level adjustments, and password protection to help you control how reports are viewed and shared.
Accessing a Briefing Book Template
From the left-hand navigation, click Documents.
Select the Templates page.
Open the Briefing Books tab.
Click the kebab menu (⋮) next to the template you want to edit.
Select Edit Template.
The configuration drawer will open with tabs such as Template, Scorecard, Header & Footer, and Content.
💡 All adjustments listed below are made inside the Template tab unless noted otherwise.
Adjusting Zoom Level
Zoom controls how much content fits on each page.
For example, selecting 90% can help fit more items on a single page.
In the Template tab, find the Zoom dropdown.
Select the desired zoom percentage.
Click Save.
ClearPoint will apply this zoom level to all pages when the Briefing Book is generated.
Protecting a Briefing Book
Set different Access levels.
In the Template tab.
Set Access level:
Global, Private or Restricted.
Click Save.
💡 Recipients will be required to enter this password when opening the PDF.
Adding a Watermark
A watermark is useful for marking a Briefing Book as Draft, Confidential, or any other label needed for your audience.
In the Template tab, locate Watermark.
Enter the text you want displayed (e.g., “DRAFT”).
Click Save.
💡 The watermark will appear in gray across each generated page.
Editing Page Size or Orientation
ClearPoint supports multiple page sizes.
Page Sizes Available
Letter: 8.5″ × 11″
Legal: 8.5″ × 14″
A4: 21cm × 29.7cm
Tabloid: 11″ × 17″
💡 The Briefing Book will now generate using the updated dimensions.
