Getting Started Guide – Exporting Your Reports

This article explains the different ways to export reports from ClearPoint.

Sharing your reports outside of ClearPoint helps communicate performance to a broader audience—such as board members, investors, and stakeholders who may not have ClearPoint access. Exporting reports ensures your organization’s progress is shared clearly and consistently.


Exporting Individual Pages

Any page in ClearPoint can be exported to PDF, while Grid-style Summary Reports can also be exported to Excel, and Dashboard-style Summary Reports can be exported to PowerPoint.

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. A notification will appear at the top of your screen—click to download the file.

  3. The exported PDF will also be emailed to you.


Page Exports

You can view and download previously exported reports at any time.

  1. From your Control Panel, select Exports.

  2. Select Documents.

  3. Go to the Page Exports tab.

  4. Click the kebab menu (⋮)

  5. Click Download.


Briefing Books

Briefing Books combine pages from multiple scorecards, reports, and detail layouts into a single, linked PDF. They’re perfect for recurring reports such as monthly updates, quarterly strategy reviews, or board presentations.

Generate a Briefing Book

  1. From your Control Panel, select Exports.

  2. Go to Templates.

  3. Make sure you are in the Briefing Books tab.

  4. Click the Play icon or open the kebab menu (⋮) and select Generate.

  5. Choose a Reporting Period.

    1. (Optional) Check Include recipients to email copies automatically.

  6. Click Confirm.

    1. You’ll receive a download notification and an email copy of the report.


HTML Reports

HTML Reports generate a web-based version of your report—ideal for sharing on intranets or public websites. Anyone with the report link can view it.

Generate an HTML Report

  1. Make sure you are in the HTML Reports tab.

  2. Click the Play icon or open the kebab menu (⋮) and select Run Template.

  3. Choose the Reporting Period.

  4. Click Confirm to create the HTML link.


Scheduling Reports

Scheduling allows reports to be generated automatically at regular intervals. Recipients receive the latest version directly in their inbox.

  1. From your Control Panel, select Automation.

  2. Go to Schedules.

  3. Click the plus icon (+) to add a schedule.

  1. Enter a name to easily identify the Schedule.

  2. Select the Scheduled Task.

  3. Choose the Briefing Book.

  4. Set a First Run Date and Run Time

  5. Click Save.
