Organize Your Strategy – OKR Reporting

Learn how to display OKR progress on element detail pages and view Goals across your account by individual, manager, department, or scorecard.

Written by Ted Jackson

OKR Reporting in ClearPoint lets you surface Goals progress directly on element detail pages — so stakeholders can see how individual or team OKRs connect to specific measures, objectives, or initiatives without leaving that page.

How OKR Reporting Works

When a Goal is linked to a scorecard element, you can add a Goals pod to that element's detail page layout. This displays the linked OKRs — including key result progress — directly on the page, giving leadership a real-time view of goal alignment alongside strategic data.

You can add the Goals pod to any element detail page: Measures, Objectives, Initiatives, Milestones, Action Items, or Risks.

Step 1: Link the Goal to an Element

Before a goal can appear on a detail page, it must be linked to that element. You need edit access to the goal to link it — if the goal row shows no Options menu (⋮), your access level does not permit it. If you haven't linked it yet:

  1. Open the goal from Goals → My Goals (or any Goals view).

  2. Click the Options menu (⋮) on the goal row and select Edit Goal.

  3. Navigate to the Links tab.

  4. Click the Link icon, select a Scorecard and Link Type, check the element(s), and click Save.

📎 See Adding Goals (OKRs) for full linking instructions.

Step 2: Add the Goals Pod to the Detail Page

  1. Navigate to the element's detail page (e.g., open a Measure from Elements → Measures).

  2. Click the kebab menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. Select Edit Layout.

  1. In the layout editor, locate Goals in the left panel of available pods.

  2. Drag and drop the Goals pod to your desired position on the page.

  3. Click Save.

The Goals pod now appears on the detail page, showing all OKRs linked to that element along with key result progress.

What the Goals Pod Shows

Once added, the Goals pod displays:

  • The Goal name and owner

  • Each Key Result with its current progress

  • Overall goal completion percentage

💡 The Goals pod updates in real time as owners update their key result progress — no manual refresh needed.

Viewing OKRs Across the Account

Beyond individual detail pages, ClearPoint provides several account-wide OKR views from the Goals section in the left navigation:

  • By Individual — all OKRs grouped by the person they're assigned to

  • By Manager — OKRs grouped by manager, showing team-level alignment

  • By Department — OKRs grouped by department

  • By Scorecard — OKRs grouped by the scorecard elements they're linked to

Each view also has a Goal Trees tab that shows a visual hierarchy of goals — useful for understanding how individual OKRs cascade up to team and organizational goals.
