Zapier helps you streamline workflows by connecting ClearPoint with thousands of other applications through triggers and actions—no coding required.
Zapier Triggers and Actions
A Zap is an automated workflow that connects two or more applications. Each Zap includes:
A Trigger — the event that starts the workflow
An Action — what happens after the trigger fires
Zapier supports 8,000+ apps, allowing you to create flexible cross-platform automations.
Example: ClearPoint → Slack
Trigger: A new Objective, Measure, or Initiative is created in ClearPoint
Action: A message is automatically posted to a Slack channel
Example: Slack → ClearPoint
Trigger: A new Slack message is posted in a specific channel
Action: A new Objective, Measure, or Initiative is created in ClearPoint
This two-way flexibility allows your teams to automate tasks in whichever direction makes sense for your workflow.
Creating a Webhook (ClearPoint → Zapier → Slack)
In this example, you’ll create a Zap that listens for ClearPoint scorecard changes and sends a Slack channel message when a new element is added.
Step 1 — Create a Webhook Trigger in Zapier
Log in to Zapier.
Click Create Zap.
Under Trigger, search for Webhooks by Zapier.
Under Event, select Catch Hook.
Click Continue.
Leave Pick off a Child Key blank and click Continue.
Copy the Custom Webhook URL Zapier provides.
Step 2 — Add the Webhook in ClearPoint
In ClearPoint, open Settings from the top navigation.
Select Integrations.
Navigate to the Webhooks tab.
Click the Add Webhook (+) icon.
Configure the Webhook
Enter a Name (e.g., Zapier Webhook).
In the URL field, paste the Custom Webhook URL from Zapier.
Under Options, configure when the webhook should be triggered:
Trigger on: Scorecard Changes
Scorecard: Select the Scorecard you want Zapier to monitor
Type of Change: Select the type of changes that will trigger the webhook.
Click Save.
Step 3 — Test the Webhook Connection
In ClearPoint, go to the Scorecard you selected.
Add a new element to trigger the webhook.
Return to Zapier and click Test trigger.
Select the record Zapier finds and click Continue.
Step 4 — Add the Slack Action
Under Action, search for and select Slack.
Under Event, select Send Channel Message.
Click Continue.
Connect or confirm your Slack account.
Fill in the required fields:
Channel
Message Text
Click Continue.
Click Test step to verify the Slack message is sent.
When the test is successful, click Publish.
💡 Your Zap is now active and will send a Slack message whenever the webhook detects changes in your selected Scorecard.
