ClearPoint allows administrators to archive Scorecards, Reporting Periods, and Custom Fields. Archiving helps keep your workspace organized, simplifies reporting, and ensures that only active items appear in searches, summary reports, and calculations. Archived items are hidden from most views but can be restored at any time using the same settings panel where they were archived.

Archiving Scorecards

When a scorecard is archived, it is removed from the Manage Scorecards view and excluded from navigation, search, summary reports, linkages, and calculations. This helps ensure reporting remains focused only on active scorecards.

Archive a Scorecard

  1. Open the Scorecards section from the left navigation.

    1. Locate the scorecard you want to archive.

  2. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Archive Scorecard.

  3. Confirm by clicking, Archive.

Note: The process for unarchiving a Scorecard is the same.

Archiving Reporting Periods

Archiving reporting periods keeps measure data tables and period selectors clean and focused. Only active periods will be used in calculations, charts, and summary reports.

Archive a Reporting Period

  1. Click Settings from the left navigation.

  2. Select Reporting Periods.

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Period.

  2. Toggle the option to Archived Period.

  3. Click Save.

Note: The process for unarchiving a reporting period is the same.

Archiving Custom Fields

Archiving a custom field removes it from element detail pages, summary reports, templates, and dropdown selections. This is helpful when a field is no longer needed but needs to be preserved for reference.

Archive a Custom Field

  1. Click Settings from the left navigation.

  2. Select Customizations.

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Custom Field.

  2. Toggle the option to Archived.

  3. Click Save.

Note: The process for unarchiving a custom field is the same.

Summary

Archiving in ClearPoint Next helps administrators:

  • Clean up navigation and reporting views

  • Prevent inactive scorecards or periods from influencing analysis

  • Remove outdated custom fields from detail pages and templates

Any item that has been archived can be restored at any time by revisiting the same settings panel and unchecking the Archived option.
