Gantt charts in ClearPoint are interactive, time-based visuals that help you plan and track progress for your Initiatives and Milestones.

They provide a clear overview of project timelines, dependencies, and completion status—all in one view.

With Gantt charts, you can:

  • Track project start and end dates

  • Monitor milestone completion

  • Adjust timelines interactively

  • Identify delays or overlaps early

Viewing and Editing the Gantt Chart

  1. From the left navigation, click Elements.

  2. Select Initiatives.

  3. Open the Initiative you want to review (e.g., Redesign Employee Satisfaction Survey).

  1. Locate the Gantt Chart section on the Initiative’s Detail Page.

💡 The Gantt chart automatically updates to reflect milestone progress and dependencies in real time.

Adjusting the Gantt Chart View

  • Drag the vertical divider line left or right to adjust the width of milestone names.

  • The chart automatically preserves this width for exports, so full milestone names remain visible in PDF or PowerPoint reports.

Editing Milestones Directly from the Chart

You can update milestones directly in the Gantt chart without leaving the Detail Page.

  1. Double-click a Milestone bar on the Gantt chart.

  2. You will be able to update:

    • Name

    • Status

    • Start Date and End Date

    • Percent Complete

  3. Click Save.

💡 Changes made in the Gantt chart are automatically reflected in milestone tables and summary reports.

Using the Copy Forward Feature

The Copy Forward tool saves time when updating recurring milestones or projects.
It copies selected milestone values from the previous reporting period into the current one—without overwriting existing data.

  1. From the left navigation, click Elements → Initiatives.

  2. Open the Initiative (e.g., Redesign Employee Satisfaction Survey).

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Element.

  1. Click the Copy Forward (↷) icon.

  2. Select the Source Period.

  3. Select which attributes to copy (e.g., Status, Percent Complete, or Dates).

  4. Click Copy Forward.

💡 Only empty fields in the current period are updated—existing values remain unchanged.
