Scorecards in ClearPoint act as strategic folders that organize your organization’s key elements—such as Objectives, Measures, Initiatives, and Risks.
They help you structure your business plans, measure progress toward goals, and communicate strategy effectively across teams and departments.

Managing Scorecards

You can view and manage all Scorecards in your account directly from the left navigation.

ClearPoint Scorecards can have Parent–Child relationships, allowing you to cascade strategy across organizational levels—such as company-wide, departmental, or team Scorecards.

  1. From the left navigation, click Scorecards.

💡 Parent and Child Scorecards help visualize how strategic goals align and cascade across the organization.

Creating a New Scorecard

  1. From the Scorecards page, click + Add Scorecard.

  2. Enter a Name (e.g., Financials).

  3. Click Save.

💡 Parent–Child Scorecards can reflect reporting structures, divisions, or strategic tiers.

Adding Scorecard Categories

Categories (also called Perspectives) represent the high-level dimensions of your strategy—for example, Financial, Customer, Internal Process, and Learning & Growth.

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Scorecard.

  1. Navigate to the Categories tab.

  2. Click + Add Category.

  3. Enter a Category Name (e.g., Financial).

  4. Click Save.

💡 While the Balanced Scorecard traditionally includes four perspectives, you can customize categories to fit your organization’s framework.

Setting User Access

You can control which users can view or edit a specific Scorecard.

  1. Navigate to the User Access tab.

  2. Select which users can access the Scorecard depending on their user profile.

    1. Administrator

    2. Editor

    3. Updater

    4. Browser

    5. By Scorecard

  3. Click Save.

💡 Not all users need access to every Scorecard—restricting visibility helps teams focus on their specific goals.

Duplicating a Scorecard

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Duplicate Scorecard.

  2. Enter a new Name (e.g., Capital Expenditures).

  3. (Optional) Check:

    • Copy Status and Scorecard Data – duplicates all existing data and statuses.

  4. Click Duplicate.

💡 Duplicating is ideal for setting up new Scorecards with similar structure or content.

Deleting a Scorecard

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Delete Scorecard.

  2. Select Delete Scorecard.

  3. Confirm deletion by clicking Delete.

⚠️ You cannot delete the Scorecard you are currently viewing. Navigate to another Scorecard before attempting deletion.
