Categories—also known as Perspectives—represent the strategic themes or groupings within your Scorecard (such as Financial, Customer, Internal Process, or Learning & Growth).
They help organize your objectives and measures, providing structure and clarity across your strategic framework.

Creating a New Perspective

  1. From the left navigation, click Scorecards.

  2. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Scorecard.

  1. Navigate to the Categories tab.

  2. Click + Add Category.

  3. Enter a Name (e.g., Social Responsibility).

  4. Click Save.

💡 New Perspectives appear instantly within your Scorecard and can be assigned to Objectives, Measures, or Initiatives for better organization.

Adding Multiple Perspectives

  1. From the Categories tab, click + Add Category.

  2. Select Add Multiple.

  3. In the text box, enter each Category name on a new line (e.g., Financial, Customer, Internal Process, Learning & Growth).

  4. Click Save.

💡 Bulk adding is ideal when setting up a new Scorecard or defining a standard framework such as the Balanced Scorecard.

Editing a Perspective

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Category.

  2. Update details such as Name, Description.

  3. Click Save.

💡 Editing a Perspective updates how it’s displayed across your Scorecard and any linked reports.

Duplicating a Category

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) to select Duplicate Perspective.

  2. Enter a New Perspective Name.

  3. Click Duplicate.

💡 Duplicating helps you quickly reuse structure or naming conventions across multiple Scorecards.

Deleting a Perspective

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) to select Delete Category.

  2. Confirm deletion by clicking Delete.

⚠️ Deleting a Perspective permanently removes it from your Scorecard and any associated elements. Ensure all linked Objectives and Measures are reassigned before deletion.
