Getting Started Guide – Navigating ClearPoint

This article will help you navigate ClearPoint’s simplified and modern interface with ease and confidence.

ClearPoint is designed to make it easy to find strategic insights, manage data, and track organizational performance — all from a single, intuitive navigation system.


Top Navigation Menu

The top navigation bar gives you quick access to essential tools across your account.

  • Home Button: Click the Home icon to return to your landing page from anywhere in ClearPoint.

  • Search Bar: Quickly find elements, reports, scorecards, or pages by typing keywords.

  • Period Selector: View or switch between reporting periods. Use the toggle arrows or select a specific period from the dropdown.

  • AI Assistant: Make the most out of ClearPoint Next with its assistant.

  • Alert Inbox: Click the Bell icon to view notifications, such as completed exports or workflow updates.

  • Dark Mode: Enable dark mode for better visibility in low-light environments.

  • Account Settings (Admin Only): Access system-level settings and configurations.

  • Support: Open help resources or contact ClearPoint Support directly.

  • Profile Icon: Manage your profile, update personal settings, or log out.


Control Panel Navigation

Located on the left side of the interface, the Control Panel serves as your main navigation hub. It’s designed to streamline access to key areas without overwhelming menus.


My ClearPoint

  1. My Workspace: Customize your workspace to display the most relevant scorecards, projects, and reports.

  2. My Updates: View and complete assigned workflow tasks. Mark updates as complete once finished.


Scorecards, Elements, & Reports

All strategic data is accessible under these main sections.

  • Scorecards: Organize and view strategic plans at a high level.

  • Elements: Access Objectives, Measures, Initiatives, Action Items, and Risks.

  • Reports: Manage dashboards, summary reports, and Gantt charts.

To navigate elements:

  1. From your Control Panel, click the chevron (>) next to Elements.

  2. Click the chevron (>) next to the element type (e.g., Measures).

  3. Select the element name to open its detail page.


Exports

The Exports section centralizes all templates and exports.

  • Templates: Manage Briefing Books and HTML Report templates. Create, edit, duplicate, or delete templates.

  • Documents: Access generated Briefing Books, HTML Reports, and Page Exports. Download, delete, or review report history.


Automation

Automate and streamline your reporting workflows.

  • Reporting Workflows: Define update tasks, deadlines, and owners to standardize reporting.

  • Notifications: Stay informed of important changes or updates.

  • Reminders: Automatically notify users when it’s time to provide updates.

  • Schedules: Automate report generation (e.g., run a monthly Briefing Book).

  • Calendar: View and filter all scheduled exports or workflow deadlines.


Breadcrumbs & Recent Pages

ClearPoint keeps your navigation history accessible:

  • Breadcrumbs: Show your current navigation path (e.g., Scorecards > Upward Airlines Corporate > Scorecard Reports > Welcome Page). Click any breadcrumb level to return to that page.

  • Last 5 Pages: Click the dropdown icon at the far left of the breadcrumbs to quickly reopen recently visited pages.
