These tools are context-aware: they read the data you're viewing and tailor their output accordingly.
AI suggestions are never applied automatically. You always review and confirm before saving.
AI Analysis & Recommendations
The AI Assistant is available inside any text-based card on an element or scorecard detail page — such as the Analysis or Recommendations fields. It explains what's going wrong with a measure or initiative, surfaces performance patterns, flags status changes that should trigger stakeholder action, and identifies which metrics carry the most weight during key cycles like budgeting and quarterly reviews.
To open the AI Assistant on a detail page:
Open an element detail page (e.g., Elements → Measures → Expenses).
Double-click into a supported text card such as Analysis or Recommendations.
Click Pop-out Editor from the text editor ribbon.
Toggle Show ClearPoint AI Assistant.
Ask Me Anything
Ask natural-language questions about the data you're viewing and get instant AI-generated insights.
Open the Pop-out Editor and toggle the AI Assistant.
Type a question such as:
What are the key trends in this measure?
Why did performance drop last quarter?
What factors are contributing to this result?
Review the AI-generated response and insert it into your analysis as needed.
Generate Recommendations
The AI reviews your element's data and linked context to suggest actionable next steps or improvements.
Open the Pop-out Editor and toggle the AI Assistant.
Select Generate Recommendations.
Review the suggestions and apply or refine them before saving.
Copy Edit My Text
Improve the clarity, tone, and structure of existing written content in a text card.
Open the Pop-out Editor and toggle the AI Assistant.
Select Copy Edit My Text.
Review the revised version and apply the changes before saving.
Analyze Data
Get a deeper, data-driven review of measure or initiative performance — highlighting trends, correlations, and anomalies.
Navigate to a Measure or Initiative detail page.
Open the AI Assistant via the Pop-out Editor.
Select Analyze Data.
Review the generated analysis of performance patterns and outliers.
Use the insights to inform decisions or enhance written analysis.
AI-Generated Charts & Data Visualizations
ClearPoint AI can build presentation-ready charts and graphs instantly from structured or unstructured data — no manual Excel work required. It identifies what matters in your data and renders it visually, so you can move from raw numbers to shareable visuals in seconds.

AI for Calculated Series
When setting up a calculated series on a measure, ClearPoint AI can help you write and validate formula logic — reducing manual effort and formula errors. Describe the calculation you need in plain language and the AI suggests the appropriate formula using ClearPoint's tokens and functions.
To use AI for calculated series:
Open a Measure → Edit Element → Series tab.
Select or create a series and choose Calculated Series as the type.
Use the AI prompt field to describe the calculation you need (e.g., "Calculate the year-to-date average of Actual").
Review the suggested formula and apply it.

AI for Evaluations
ClearPoint AI can assist with configuring evaluation logic for series — helping you set thresholds and conditions that reflect your performance targets. Rather than manually determining score cutoffs, you can ask the AI to suggest appropriate above-target, caution, and below-plan thresholds based on your data history.
To use AI for evaluations:
Open a Measure → Edit Element → Series tab → Evaluation tab in the series edit drawer.
Use the AI suggestion to configure thresholds for each status indicator.
Review and save.

Trendlines and Year-over-Year Charting
ClearPoint supports trendlines and year-over-year chart overlays as part of its forward-looking analytics toolkit.
