ClearPoint supports a secure, scalable Snowflake integration that allows organizations to query their ClearPoint data directly in their own Snowflake environment.

To use this integration, your organization must maintain its own Snowflake account and manage its internal administration.

If you're interested in enabling the integration, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

What Is Snowflake?

Snowflake is a cloud-based data warehousing platform designed for large-scale data storage, processing, and analysis. It separates compute and storage resources—allowing each to scale independently—which makes it both flexible and cost-efficient.

Organizations use Snowflake for:

  • Data warehousing

  • Business intelligence

  • Data engineering

  • Large-scale analytics

  • Cross-system reporting

Its architecture enables quick querying of large datasets, making it a strong fit for analytics-driven teams.

How Snowflake Works with ClearPoint

ClearPoint uses Snowflake as the secure backend for customer data. When your organization requests Snowflake access, ClearPoint provisions a dedicated Snowflake environment and grants read-only access to an authorized user in your Snowflake account.

What You Can Do

Once access is enabled, your team can:

  • View ClearPoint tables directly in your Snowflake instance

  • Query and join ClearPoint data with other organizational datasets

  • Build advanced dashboards and analytics models

  • Use ClearPoint data as part of your BI or data engineering workflows

What You Cannot Do

Access is read-only.
You cannot modify, update, or write data back to ClearPoint.

This ensures data integrity and keeps your ClearPoint environment secure while giving you full flexibility to analyze data however you choose.

Using Snowflake with the ClearPoint Data Loader

You can upload data into ClearPoint using SQL queries from your Snowflake instance through the ClearPoint Data Loader.

To connect Snowflake to the Data Loader, you will need:

  • Snowflake Account Name

  • Snowflake Username

  • Snowflake Password

Once connected, you can:

  • Execute SQL queries against your Snowflake instance

  • Upload query results into ClearPoint

  • Map fields as needed for Measures, Initiative data, or any other supported elements

For more information on selecting and mapping SQL files, view Uploading SQL Files with the Data Loader (keep the existing hyperlink).

Integrating Directly with Your Snowflake Instance

If your organization maintains a Snowflake environment and prefers a direct connection, ClearPoint can securely share live data into your Snowflake instance.

This allows you to:

  • Pull ClearPoint tables directly

  • Join ClearPoint data with internal datasets

  • Build sophisticated analytics pipelines

If you are interested in enabling a direct Snowflake integration, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
