Custom Charts in ClearPoint allow you to go beyond default chart types by using JSON configuration.
With the integrated JSON Chart Library, you can create unique visualizations, modify chart properties (like color, borders, and axes), or build your own chart types that match your organization’s reporting needs.
Creating a New Custom Chart in System Setup
ClearPoint’s JSON Chart Library provides a collection of pre-built chart templates that serve as starting points for advanced customization. Additionally, you can create your own custom charts using JSON format.
From the top navigation, click Settings.
Select Customizations.
Navigate to the Custom Charts.
Click + Add Custom Chart.
Enter a Chart Format Name (e.g., New Custom Chart).
Use the dropdown Custom Chart JSON to select a template.
Click Confirm.
Editing a Custom Chart
You can easily edit an existing custom chart by updating its JSON configuration directly from the chart editor.
From the Custom Charts tab.
Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Custom Chart Type.
Update accordingly using the Custom Chart JSON.
Click Save.
Add a Custom Chart from the Element Detail Page
From the left navigation, click Elements.
Select Measures.
Open the Measure that contains the chart you want to modify (e.g., Revenue).
Double-click on the chart you want to edit.
Navigate to the Chart tab.
Find Custom Chart Type under the Chart Type dropdown menu.
Click Save.
