Project Dependencies allow you to control how Initiative timelines relate to their Milestones and Sub-Milestones.

By selecting a dependency setting, you can ensure that start and end dates automatically adjust when project schedules shift—saving time and keeping your plans aligned.


Types of Dependencies

  • Manual Dates (None) – Full control of all dates.

  • Adjust Initiative Dates – Initiative timeline adjusts based on Milestone dates.

  • Adjust Milestone Dates – Milestones adjust automatically when Initiative dates change.

Adjust a Dependencies

You can change this dependency setting at any time to regain manual control of Initiative and Milestone dates.

  1. From the left navigation, click Elements.

  2. Select Initiatives.

  3. Open the Initiative you want to configure (e.g., Redesign Employee Satisfaction Survey).

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Element.

  1. Navigate to the Edit Fields tab.

  2. Under Dependencies, select one of the following

    1. Adjust Initiative Dates, Adjust Milestone Dates or None.

  3. Click Save.
