Copying forward helps reduce manual data entry and prevents errors by reusing information that already exists—whether for a single element or an entire Scorecard.

Copy Forward from an Individual Element (Detail Page)

Open the Element

  1. From the left-hand navigation, click Elements.

  2. Open the element type (e.g., Measures).

  3. Locate the element you want to update (e.g., Revenue).

Copy Forward from the Detail Page

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Measure.

  2. Navigate to the Update Fields tab.

  3. Click Copy Forward.

  4. Select the Source Period.

  5. Choose one or more fields.

  6. Click Copy Forward.

⚠️ ClearPoint will not overwrite data already entered in fields for the destination period. Only blank fields are filled.

Copy Forward Information for a Scorecard

You can copy forward selected information—such as statuses, analysis, and update fields—across all elements in a Scorecard.

1. Open the Scorecard

  1. From the left-hand navigation, select Scorecards.

  2. Open the Scorecard you want to update (e.g., Welcome Page).

2. Copy Forward the Scorecard

  1. Click the kebab menu (⋮) and select Edit Scorecard.

3. Configure the Copy Forward

  1. Navigate to the Update Fields tab.

  2. Click Copy Forward.

  3. Select the Source Period.

  4. Use Select Fields to include elements.

  5. Click Copy Forward.

💡 ClearPoint will copy the selected content into the new reporting period without overwriting fields that already contain data.
