Overview
ClearPoint Next meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA, ADA, Section 508, and AODA accessibility standards natively — no plug-in or add-on is required. Accessibility is built directly into the product.
What WCAG 2.2 AA means
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the internationally recognized standard for digital accessibility, published by the W3C. Level AA is the conformance target referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, Canada's AODA, and most government and enterprise procurement requirements worldwide. A product that meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA is usable by people who rely on screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, high contrast displays, and other assistive technologies.
Scope
This conformance applies to ClearPoint Next (next.clearpointstrategy.com). The evaluation covered the Login page, main dashboard, Scorecard list and detail views, Measure and Objective detail pages (view and edit), Initiative detail, Briefing Book generation, the Strategy Map diagram editor, My Settings, the Milestones grid, breadcrumb navigation, and a range of embedded widgets — including a Spanish-locale pass for language-of-parts testing.
How compliance was verified
Compliance was verified through independent third-party testing completed in September 2026. The evaluation combined automated scanning with Axe DevTools, extensive manual keyboard testing, and real assistive technology testing with NVDA, JAWS, and Windows Narrator. All WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA criteria were evaluated, resulting in full conformance: 44 Supports, 0 Does Not Support, 0 Partially Supports. This is a good-faith self-assessment, not a third-party certification.
VPAT and procurement documentation
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a standardized document used by procurement teams to evaluate a product's accessibility conformance before purchase. ClearPoint's VPAT follows the VPAT 2.5 Rev format and documents conformance against every WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA criterion. It is the document to request or share during government, higher education, healthcare, or enterprise procurement reviews.
